Naadia Sheriff

A Graduate of the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in both Classical and Jazz piano Naadia works as a performer, teacher and musical director. Shortly after graduating from Guildhall Naadia performed Saint-Saens’ ‘Carnival of the Animals’ alongside fellow pianist Charlotte Wilson and the New English Orchestra. The performance toured venues including Manchester’s Bridgewater Hall and the Birmingham Symphony hall. Now based in London, Naadia is and active member of the London Jazz scene where recent work includes ‘The London Jazz Orchestra’ (featuring Alec Dankworth and Paul Clarvis) ,performances with her own quartet for the 'Loop’ and ‘E17Jazz’ collectives and an appearance at Ronnie Scott’s with the Yazz Ahmed group alongside Jim Hart and Dudley Philips. She has performed at the London Jazz festival both with her own quartet and with Yazz’s band who supported violinist Regina Carter at the Purcell room. Naadia is the Jazz piano teacher at St Pauls Girl’s school and one of the jazz teachers at Junior Guildhall Naadia is currently Musical Director for singer Kate Dimbleby who’s show ‘Nice Girls don’t sing the blues’ ran for 5 weeks at the ‘New End Theatre’ Hampstead to critical acclaim and a 4 star review in ‘The Times
