New Orleans native turned London resident, Abram
Wilson is an award-winning trumpeter, vocalist and
composer whose infectious warmth and electric stage
presence spring directly from his roots in the
birthplace of jazz.
His latest project, Life Paintings, is a
musical account of his life. An expression of truth,
this uninhibited reflection on life experiences, some
significant and some even trivial, paint pictures
familiar to many; love, seduction, frustration,
happiness, freedom, leadership, youth, to name a few.
A mature set of purely instrumental compositions
steeped in the jazz tradition, the music offers an
abundance of colours, thoughts, and imagery that can
only be conjured up by articulate improvisational
freedom.
