Big Band Summer School July 28-31
Murray Park Community School

Rehearse and perform Big Band and Jazz classics with East Midlands youth Jazz Orchestra. Develop your improvisation skills and meet professional musicians.

Suitable for players of Grade 4-8 standard in big band instruments and some woodwind.

Times 10-4, Tutor fee £100.

Concert at the school in the early evening £5.

 

Latin Summer School August 18-21
Derby Grammar School

Learn the secrets of playing salsa, samba and other Latin American styles and work with one of the UK's finest Latin musicians - ALEX WILSON.

Suitable for Grade 5+ players of brass, woodwind, percussion and rhythm.

"CMC" Summer School August 25-27
Derby Grammar School

Specially designed for young musicians just starting out. Make friends and have fun playing tunes from the movies and the big band era.

Suitable for Grade 1-4 players of brass, woodwind and rhythm.
